Tomorrow the grade 4/5/6's will be cleaning up the classroom and their personal bins/lockers. They will be bringing all notebooks, workbooks work, and shoes home. Please bring extra bags for your belongings.
Tomorrow night is graduation. Students are asked to come dressed dressy casual. (girls a dress or collared shirt and dress pants - boys a collared shirt /golf shirt/ and dress pants) No shorts or sneakers.
Please remember to wear your gym uniform to Wonderland on Thursday. Remember to apply or bring sunscreen and/or a sun hat.

Canada's Wonderland
Please read the options on the Canada's Wonderland permission form. If your child will be attending the trip and will be purchasing a ticket from SJA and riding on the bus, simply write your childn's name in the corresponding spot to indicate that your child is attending the field trip and no alternate arrangements are required. Two permission forms will be sent home this evening. The first permission form is pertaining to SJA's annual trip to Canada's Wonderland. This is to be filled out and returned by Thursday, May 20th. A Midsummer Night's Dream
REMINDER: On Friday we will be blocking scenes. Students are to have all of their lines memorized up to the end of Act 3 Scene 1 (p. 27). If you are having trouble with the number of lines you have to memorize, focus on different sections each night. You can earn mucho house points on Friday! Don't rush and say lines with emotion. Remember you are bringing these characters to life!

Students are to put their copies of A Midsummer Night's Dream in a duo tang or binder to help protect pages. Practice! Practice! Practice! Let's memorize our lines!
The 1st rough copy of the Science Fair, Skate-a-thon, Earth Day and Interact Conference (grades 5 and 6 only) are due on Monday.
There will be a Math Test on Tuesday or Wednesday - Students should prepare over the weekend.
There will be a Grammar test - Unit 8 - Nouns and Plurals - next Friday.

Reminders
Remember to buy science display boards for Monday. Please refer to specified dimension as outlined in handout. (1.2 m wide, and 1.5 m high - must be able to stand alone.) Also if you plan on dressing up your science display board bring in supplies you may need (markers, construction paper etc) Please refer to handout so you buy specified dimensions. On Friday the students of St. Jude's will be participating in the annual Skate-a-thon and Interact Conference. If you are attending the Skate-a-thon you may wear casual clothes. In the next couple of weeks the grade 4/5/6 students will be focusing on how to write a newspaper story. Students will study how journalists use various elements to craft topical, interesting and relevant news stories. To begin our "Reporter for a Day" assignment students are asked to bring in newspapers (local or international) to class on Monday.

Olympic Poster Project


To help capture the spirit of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games the grades 4/5/6 will be creating posters of their favourite sport. Students are asked to buy bristol board (any colour). The assignment is due Monday March 1st. Students are to follow the guidelines we discussed in class. Research will be gathered during class time in the media room. Students are encouraged to work at home as well. Students are to have selected a sport by tomorrow.

A Night in Tuscany Reminder
For our performance the grade 4,5,6 students are asked to wear jeans, their St. Jude's t-shirts, and sneakers. For the performance boys are asked to wear a bandana and girls are to wear sunglasses.
