Classroom News


PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Please bring clothing for Phys Ed tomorrow, Thursday April 1, and Friday April 9th. Students will be participating in soccer activities with Mr. Wilson.

MEDIA LITERACY
In the next couple of weeks the grade 4/5/6 students will be focusing on how to write a newspaper story. Students will study how journalists use various elements to craft topical, interesting and relevant news stories. To begin our "Reporter for a Day" assignment students are asked to bring in newspapers (local or international) to class on Monday.

Earth Hour 2010

On March 27 at 8:30 pm, hundreds of millions of people around the world will turn off their lights for an hour to demand action on climate change. But that's just the beginning. Every hour, Canadians are taking small steps to lessen their impact on the environment. From hanging your clothes to dry to taking transit to work, those small steps add up to huge changes for the better.

History Assignment - Peaceful Demonstration

Due Thursday (complete assignment in History notebook)
Minimum of 2 paragraphs.

Use an encyclopedia or the internet to research one of these famous leaders or famous works that advocate peaceful resistance:
