The Crimean War (1853-1856)

Four factors helped to start the Crimean War.
1)The Turks allowed European countries to take care of holy places.
2)Nicholas 1 wanted Constantinople.
3)England was afraid of Russia.
4)The French decided to make friends with the English.

The Peace of Paris, which ended the war, had three parts.
1)Sevastopol was returned to Russia.
2)Russia gave Turkish land back to the Turks.
3)Russia could not keep warships in the Black Sea.
